U.S.A.My day today was mundane so I am posting my old diary entry from exactly twenty-one years ago today. I was in Miami to tape a Spring Break Special with Tim Allen.“Sept. 10, 1989: Got met by the limo and straight to the Honeywagon. The wardrobe people shrunk my shorts. Tim Allen was very nice and Rick Messina was there. Worked from noon til 10 pm – did the hot tub scene – I hope nobody looked at my thighs – did promos and intros and then we did standup outside in the hot sun. The audience was kids, mostly guys, and I got pretty good laughs. Tim had a tough time and sweated a lot. Didn’t like the food. We’re supposed to get paid when it airs.” The special never aired. But Tim did alright after that. I guess I did too. So I didn’t like the food? I never like the food! If I could go around with a hot plate strapped to my waist, I’d be happy. My own cooking rocks! I made maple-glazed salmon today.
All of us Michigan boys are very nice.
I am glad you keep a diary Jenny. It really helps keep one centered. I do that from time to time also. I remember one time I was cleaning under my bathroom sink and I found my journal. It was 6 years old and I read the dispair I was in and how sick I was. I didn’t think I was going to live throught those times. It really made me feel humble that I had been given a miracle. When you are in such a low spot in life it is hard to see your way out. What may seem mudane now is still worth writing about.
Oh one time I found another journal I was keeping and I started reading it…I was like WTH?? I don’t remember doing this crazy stuff…I turned to the cover page of it and I had written MY DREAMS. I had forgotten I started to write down all the crazy dreams I have at night!! LOL
I love your blogs…I loved watching your show but I love knowing you now even better!

I feel more connected with Jenny more than through television since she started her blog. You really can get to know someone online just talking to each other. Yes it can be dangerous. Kids and teens are the ones who really need to be monitored when online, because they don’t know any better and end up abusing the internet. That’s the parents fault for not being responsible parents…
Oh and I can’t remember most my dreams. Some are easier than others, so I’m sure you were thinking WTH is this…lol…you’re funny too and I love your humor as well as Jenny’s. You both get me laughing so hard sometimes I really do have to go and get tissue…lol…
Do you really anwer these? I used to watch your show and had a lot of enjoyment. your bio says that you used to sing..I didn’t know that. I hope all is well and that you are still enjoying the sucess you had with the show… 🙂

Yes, Lyle, I do answer these. I still can’t believe how lucky I was to get my own talk show and I’m enjoying my success very much. It’s all still beyond my wildest dreams.
lol…see Jenny some people don’t think you are actually replying, but it’s okay I can understand why some people wouldn’t think you are replying, but you know that’s why I adore you Jenny. You aren’t like most celebs. Like me and Kathy have said, you seem down to earth and I think you like being at that level. I also think you like more of the simple lifestyle. I don’t blame you for not getting back into television. I think you are happy where you are with your life right now. Plus Jenny, let’s say if your talkshow was still on air today. You couldn’t interact with us like you’ve been doing and I think you like your freedom 🙂

My thighs are huge and jiggly but they help me walk and I am thankful for these ugly ole thighs….I am also thankful that I am not a nude model!!
