I’m allergic to Macy’s

My eyes water.  My nose runs.  My throat tightens.  That’s what happens when I walk through Macy’s. What the H-E-double toothpicks is going on?  We went to the mall last night and they have a Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s. I have no problem at Bloomingdale’s but within seconds of entering Macy’s, I’m reaching for a tissue.  I know that I react to dust mites and pollen but why Macy’s?  Then I remembered that I had the same reaction in Sears’ clothing department and also at Joann Fabrics.  I wonder if it’s a reaction to fabric dyes… maybe cheaper fabric dyes… because this never happens as Saks. I’m dead serious.  Macy’s, Sears,  and Joann’s. I can smell whatever is in the fabrics, especially when there’s a lot of it. Maybe it’s because the clothes at Macy’s and Sears are more plentiful and crammed and Joann Fabrics is loaded, wall-to-wall with fabrics. Weird, huh? It appears that for medical reasons, I may be forced to shop at Saks. Life is hard. j/k 😉

Consider this a GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card for Sue! Actually, there is more good about her original email than you might think. Most importantly, she was honest. Isn’t that what we want from our friends? If a friend won’t tell you something seems wrong, then who will? So thank you Sue for speaking your mind. And secondly, if YOU missed my humor that day, then how many other people did too? By you speaking up, I was able to clarify for any other people who might also have taken my posting the wrong way. So thank you for being a true friend.

Awww Jenny. I’ve seen what you’ve added to your thread and it really shouldn’t have to be that way 🙁
I didn’t take it as a joke it was more on a serious level for me when reading it. I was more focused on your allergic reaction to a clothing store and trying to figure out why you were having the issues you were having when entering the store. That’s it. Nothing more…

Oh and Jenny this is a blog and pretty much your diary space and a place for you to express yourself. It’s not fair to you nor your fans for you to be careful in what you do say. Please keep being yourself like you’ve been since opening your blog up to us fans…

I know Macy’s has been swamped with orders for the meat dress. That could be in the mix….or just the dye from the frocks that are made in China… Also, the cosmetics and perfume section is highly polluted. Just sayin’…

Sue, I want to respond to your comment: “Hey Jenny, we love you, but you should humble yourself when you say ” I will have to shop at Saks” “Life is hard.” California is bankrupt and people are struggling my sista! That came off wrong to me and and I’m sure it won’t set right with others. Be humble Jenny, Me and Mike work our asses off to make the money that we do. Sue, Mike, Teka and Kya.”

Sue & Mike, I assumed (you know what they say about that!) that people who read my blog know me a little and know my sense of humor. I always try to bring some humor into my real life situations and the Saks comment was meant as a joke. I would never be so insensitive. As a regular visitor to my blog, you must know that I’m a Target (& Walgreens ;)) shopper and not Saks. I live a simple life and take no joy in flaunting my success; I find the greatest joy in sharing my good fortune with others. I apologize to you and anyone who misunderstood my Saks comment and if something ever doesn’t set right again, please do let me know. I am only trying bring some laughter to my readers but I will be more careful in the future not to offend. And not to shop at Saks! (see, there I go again!) I hope I made you smile and I hope you’ll forgive me. 🙂
    Jenny

      Jenny,
No. Please forgive us. I guess your joke went over our heads. We know how much you do for people and we are sorry. Just a misunderstanding.

      Very nicely said Jenny 🙂 🙂 🙂
And in response to what you said and you are sooo right in who you truely are because I’ve already said that about you last week 🙂 🙂
      I quote:
“You aren’t like most celebs. Like me and Kathy have said, you seem down to earth and I think you like being at that level. I also think you like more of the simple lifestyle. I don’t blame you for not getting back into television. I think you are happy where you are with your life right now.”
I truely believe this about you Jenny 🙂 🙂
Take care Jenny and have a great weekend…

Don’t apologize Buttercup…we know you are a jokester!! We don’t have Bloomingdales in the Midwest so I don’t frequent it either…I have been in lots of fancy stores but can’t bring myself to pay the crazy prices they want. We all become accustom (sp) to our surroundings. I remember taking a friend of mine to Wal-Mart for the 1st time a few years ago. She was picking up purses saying how can they sell these for only $10.00??? I laughed because she paid way too much for her stuff…she isn’t better than me just shopped differently. We are still friends. I can afford to shop at the fancy places but why??

I love your humor and I think we all get it. Not to worry…I am still on an enternal search for my Walgreen Skirt…guess I have to wait until you beach bunnies quit buying them and then they will send the leftovers to the Midwest!!

I am thinking about making you an apron. If I did, would you wear it in your video?

I love Jenny’s humor and yours as well 🙂
I love what you said and I totally agree…
Jenny has worked hard to be where she is financially. I truely believe though she saves more than she spends. I would think a celebrity would have a new car every couple years because they have the money to do it, but not Jenny. She still has a car from 2003…
I think she’s a very wise person when it comes to money 🙂
And for her to have her Heroes that she donates to for others who are not as fortunate as she is says alot about her 🙂

Gotta run and check out my games on fb. I amount let my grapes go bad in farmville and people are passing me left and right. I’m trying to play ketchup…lol…

        Take care,
        Rhonda

LOL!…I saw this post this morning but didn’t have time to reply to it and I knew you were gonna say something about Walgreens, Kathy…so funny 🙂

By the way, I work in retail Jenny and everytime we go through inventory. I do the samething. It could be Macy’s and Sears are going through inventory and get dust all stirred up from moving things around from their stock just sitting. I’ve never been in a Bloomingdale’s but I’m sure they have clothing there as well, so it don’t make sense for that one store not to cause you problems if it was from the dyes in the clothes. Just a thought. I could be wrong, but it is weird…

Oh and Jenny, now you’re a Little Stinker and a Buttercup…lol…j/k…
I hope you all have a great weekend 🙂

    Take care,
    Rhonda

Rhonda, where do you work? JC Penny? Hey Jenny, we love you, but you should humble yourself when you say ” I will have to shop at Saks” “Life is hard.” California is bankrupt and people are struggling my sista! • Rhonda says:

Hey Sue. You must be busy. Haven’t seen you around much…
        But to answer your question….
Some people love’em and some hate’em, but I work at Walmart. 11 years in May…
Where do you work? -if you don’t mind me asking 🙂

        • sue says:

          Hey Rhonda,
Yes I have been very busy. We built our own home and I’ve been busy putting stone face up. I work for one of the busiest and largest funeral homes in PA. I’m the executive assistant to 14 funeral directors. My days are always full.
Our dogs, Teka and Kya have been bugging us lately to take them for walks since the weather has become so nice. They actually go to the door where I have their leashes and pull them off the door knob!! How cute is that! They had a lazy summer since it never broke 90. Has your state become alot cooler??
I hope your doing good. Talk to you soon.

          Sue

I kinda figured you were busy. Hope you find time to rest…
Oh and it seems you have smart dogs there. How old are they?…

            • sue says:

              Rhonda,
the taller one in the photo, Teka, is ten and the shorter one, Kya will be five October 22nd. Thanks for asking. Wow I seem to have opened up a “lets ridicule Sue door here!!” I apologized to Jenny maybe it’s the embalming fluid that gets to my head sometimes! I didn’t get her sense of humor once and I’m reading everyones blogs and it makes me feel bad. What the heck!

Wow you sound like you need a hug. I don’t think Jenny meant that at all. We all work hard and so did Jenny….now she gets to enjoy her gains. I am sure she gives more than the average joe!!

        Cyber Hug!

Yes Mrs. News. once again I apologize. Her sense of humor went right over our heads and I’m sorry! It’s wonderful reading everyones comments and feeling that people are making an ass of you or just feeling plain stupid! We are getting ready to take our huskies for a walk, I will make sure that I am more careful in the future and I hope Jenny didn’t lose any sleep over our misunderstanding.

          Stupid f$$$$$$n Sue
