Welcome to sunny Califor…. what?

This isn’t suposed to happen here! We pay good money to live in southern California and there is NO SNOW ALLOWED! If this happens again, I just won’t pay my taxes! First it rained for about two weeks and now this. I don’t have snow boots. I don’t think they sell snow boots here. Denis and I were planning to drive to Las Vegas tomorrow and highway 15 is closed. No one here knows how to drive in the snow and cars were sliding every which way, so they closed the road. I guess Vegas will have to wait.

On second thought, I think I will pay my taxes. Our jails are overcrowded and Wesley Snipes already has the corner room.

Okay Jenny here comes the snow and ice my way. 4 to 7 inches of snow in Metro Atlanta tomorrow afternoon into Monday morning and then Monday is freezing rain. Ugh!!…I’m off work Mondays and Tuesdays and thank God I don’t have to get out in the mess 🙂
Stores here are running out of things like milk. eggs and bread. We had enough to get through today but they will be there tomorrow shopping I’m sure and they might wipe us out. I think I would want to deal with the holiday shopping than people who panic at the sight of snow, seriously. Atleast we are prepared and fully stocked during the holidays, but storms come in quick so no preparation to be fully stocked. Rough day today and I’m dreading tomorrow 🙁

    Take care,
    Rhonda

Did it actually snow in your backyard? Impossible, are you sure those aren’t ashes from a fire, that’s more likely.

Look at it this way Jenny. The snow should be gone soon. Vegas will always be there. I’m sorry you had to wait for the snow to come and go. It’s not there forever 🙂
It doesn’t snow here much in Atlanta either. I don’t like driving in it because I don’t want to go slipping and sliding. Scary just thinking about it. I think most of us can’t drive in snow/ice storms because we don’t get it as often as others say like up north. Jenny, you being in Chicago as long as you were I think I would feel the same way in what you said about getting away from it…
And Becky I think black ice is worse than snow. I can take the snow but an ice storm is way worse I think…
Oh and Jenny, even though you didn’t want the snow. I like your photo 🙂

    Take care,
    Rhonda

    UGH!!! 🙁
