This is what I love to do the most. Sharing my good fortune with others is so rewarding and this month I was able to support some good people who are helping those often forgotten. The Anti-Recidivism Coalition in Southern California helps people coming out of prison to get their life back on track. They needed two vans to transport residents to and from their housing programs where they provide support with education and career opportunities. I bought the vans and they are already in use:
One of the life skills they teach at the housing programs is cooking and they needed new kitchen equipment. You know I was happy to provide that as well. Lots of it.
Learning to cook will not only keep them healthy, it can also lead to a great career. I like to think that someone who was driven in these trucks and who learned to cook using these tools, will become a productive citizen with a good job, maybe as a cook, maybe even using my recipes!
You own a beautiful heart Jenny. And! You’re an awesome cook + give excellent directions, easy to understand. Love your sense of humor!
Your kindness and generosity Shines. God bless you. & Thank you for sharing, love & respect,
bon
Dear Jenny,
Your recipes helped me a great deal during the lock down period. Being an assistant prof. in a university and loving to cook I enjoyed all your recipes. I have online lessons after the lessons and mails to be answered,I am watching you and trying your recipes. Woww,After Reading your biography I am amazed at your success..It is great to have met you,far far away from Turkey :))
Lots of love
Loving your recipes Jenny. This lockdown is a great time to make some of them. I am lucky to have flour and baking powder. Flour, yeast and baking powder are hardly ever in the supermarket with the Covid19 lockdown on in NZ, and everyone going back to basics and baking.
I was reading through some part or the other of your material, thinking to myself that cooking is one of the things that helped me to stay sober when the chronic pain I deal with was REALLY bothering me. I may not have wanted to jump up and cook something but reading about it or watching it done is one of the ways I get my mind off of it. It’s a great distraction and something I am proud of when I do it. So thank you from one of those folks you may have helped along the way Jenny. God Bless-
Thank you for sharing. Now I understand why so many people who don’t cook still comment on my recipes and videos. I’m happy it helps in any way.
I have followed you for a very long time: your comedy, TV show and Youtube channel. You crack me up! You are a very talented lady with a huge heart. Thank you for your blog. I miss you on tv and Youtube. Please come back.
This is just too good and a awesome thing. Like I’ve said. You have a heart of gold and i have always known that about you watching your tv show. I thank you for sharing your good deeds. You are just a terrific person….
Take care, Jenny…huga…
Jenny,
You have a great big o’heart. You’re and incredible person. Love your cooking videos. We fans keep watching them. Great recipes. Never stop.
Love you so much.
Great cause. Maybe if they get this start it will fill their hearts with love and careing. Give them a path in the right direction. Thank you, Sally
Thatโs amazing. Youโre an incredible human ๐ Kindness is what makes the world shine.
Awesome! ! Positive reinforcement is just what they need to lead a better life. I love the dog programs that they have in jail for the prisoners. Cooking I’m sure will be a welcomed learning experience after years of prison food!! ๐ ๐
Wonderful that you are doing this to help ex-prisoners! The lack of proper training and education on life skills is often what lands these people in jail. I believe a good portion, if not majority, of them are good people at heart and want to re-do their lives. This will contribute a lot to get them on their way. Thank you for doing your part to benefit humanity.???
