The bees are finally gone and my agapanthus flowers are opening up. Life is good. I’m taking pictures and baking cookies again. My cookbook got delayed the last few weeks but I’m back on track, hoping to get the recipes all done, tested, and written up by the end of the year. I still get emails from people who really liked my first cookbook but one email jolted my ego a bit. “I bought your cookbook for a dollar at a garage sale and love your recipes. It’s my new go-to book.” Huh??…. Oh no you didn’t….. A dollar??…. A garage sale??…. How is that supposed to make me feel? Is that a compliment or was this hate mail? I’m still trying to decide how I feel.
So Jenny, how do you feel now about the email that jolted your ego? I hope our post helped you feel better…
It seems you didnt quiet understand what she said when she said…”It’s my new go-to book”. I think it means when she wants to cook from a cookbook she grabs yours and finds one she likes 🙂
Rhonda
Everything happens for a reason…the 1st person bought it for the real price…the garage sale person bought it…loved it and will probably buy your next one for full price!
Hey at least it isn’t on the Bargin Rack at the bookstore yet!
I am sure you have a new follower!!

Aww Jenny dont take it so hard. It’s not a cookbook but you are giving away a FREE autographed book to people who want it, so a dollar is a dollar. Atleast she spent the dollar on your cookbook and not clothes or dishes. Jenny have you heard the saying for people who shop around at yard/garage sales?…
“One person’s trash is another person’s treasure”…:)
And by the way, I bought your book for $24.95 plus tax at Barnes and Noble. Hope that makes you feel even better. I actually have seen your show Live more than once and I brought the book with me to a show and I asked someone if you could sign the book for me and he took it backstage to you so you could sign it. I actually gave you a dream catcher with the book because I know you have trouble sleeping or did have. I just figured that would help you sleep…
Oh and Jenny nice picture of your flower there. Beau-ti-ful!!! 🙂
Take care,
Rhonda
wow this reminds me of jaws when they’re trading scars?????
well Jenny I paid 22.95 for your cook book on Amazon and we love it!! I hope that makes you feel better. By the way we love the lemon bars and everything else. Don’t take things that seriously, you know you have a huge fan club. Good nite Jenny and Denis!
