Phyllis Diller 1917 – 2012

As a standup comedian, I adored Phyllis Diller, who passed away today at the age of 95.  Not only did Ms Diller pave the way for all women comics, she was really, really funny. I was beyond excited when she appeared on my talk show in 1991 while it was only a test run in Las Vegas called Just Between Us. What a genuinely nice person she was. Thank you, Phyllis, for the decades of laughter.

I heard the news this afternoon and I grew up knowing her stardom. I was young but my parents adored her and she was one funny lady. The video you shared had me laughing to know one comedian can make the other comedian laugh as hard as you laughed Jenny. I’ve watched your show for years and don’t remember her appearance from your show, so thank you for sharing this video with us 😀
    R.I.P. Phyllis…

Jenny, I was SO saddened to hear of her passing this morning. I wrote to her several years ago and she sent me an autographed photo…what a doll she was!
I loved her on Roseanne’s new show “Roseanne’s Nuts”. She was hilarious!!!!
    RIP Ms. Diller! xox
