I bought a skirt at the drug store. At the drug store! Is that wrong? Was I just conned? They had a rack of summer skirts for $9.99 right at the entry door. I noticed it when I walked in but thought, “What kind of people are buying clothes at the pharmacy? For God sakes, go to Target, or Ross, or Kohls if you’re broke but not Walgreens. Have we lost our sense of dignity?” I stuck my nose in the air and passed by the display of colorful skirts. But one caught my eye so I stopped, looked back and saw a black & white one that would go perfectly with a new top I just got. All of a sudden, I felt a little extra weight on my shoulders. “It can’t hurt to look,” said the left side. “This is a drug store!” said the right. “Where’s your pride? What if somebody sees you?” I was paralyzed with indecision, but that skirt was so cute – they all were. I started inching towards the rack, stopped, turned back, turned around again, hoping people would think I forgot my keys. When no one was around, I finally walked over & looked through the skirts – this one was so soft and summery but would it fit? I looked for a mirror to get a full view but there was none. And what kind of a drug store has no fitting room? I took my chances and bought it, hoping no one I knew would walk in at that moment, praying that it fit so I would never be in the position of returning clothes to Walgreens. When I got home I tried it on and it fit. I love my new skirt! Then I remembered another cute green one that I also liked and besides, I could always use more floss. I’m going back.
Maybe they have bras at True Value.
Yeah, in the power tools department. Or you could also try in “Clamps & Vices” or if you don’t find your size there, look in the “Support Beams” department. LOL 🙂

OK Jenny I went to Walgreens yesterday afternoon…NO skirts in Missouri…must only be in California! Color yourself lucky girlfriend!!
Jenny I feel as if I have to share this story with you. Now you have shared alot of disgusting stories about how bugs get into the head of lettuce and spiders are in your home and regurgitating snakes. Well this past weekend, I made your wonderful lemon bars saturday afternoon and when we woke up at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon (ha!ha!) we actually wake up by 12 noon. Anyway, those wonderful lemon bars were infested with carpenter ants!!!!! yuck!!! So Mike, my fiance, took the pan and threw them off the side of our hill. It looked like chocolate chips in the lemon bars it was soooooo gross! I think sometimes how gross your stories are and I hope I was able to get you back with this one!!!!!!
Love, Sue
What… no picture? 🙂
Too bad about the wasted lemon bars. 🙁
that’s what I was just about to say, I wish I had a picture to gross you out with!!!
and p.s. can we leave an attachment???

Damon says, yes. Email it to blogbuddies@jennyjones.com and we can post it.
Jenny, I was wondering if there were some way to have a small photo option next to our post? We all know who you are and what you look like, but youve never seen any of us, as far as I know.
We are looking into it but for now you can always email it to blogbuddies@jennyjones.com and we can post it.
Damon says it appears that you sent it to the “Sign Me Up” email address rather than the blog updates address. Just click on this link: blogbuddies@jennyjones.com to send your photo.
Jenny, there’s nothing wrong with buying the skirt from a drug store. Just because it’s in a drug store doesnt mean you should only get prescriptions drugs from there and nothing more…
Walgreens to me is more than just a drug store. Ive gotten Birthday and Christmas presents from there. Plus the economy being the way it is youve got to save every penny reguardless of who you are…
Dont feel bad or feel like it’s wrong for you to buy something that catches your eye. If you like it, get it! You should go back if you saw something you liked, because if not somebody else will…
I know how you must feel though being who you are but you’re human, Jenny. Dont restrict yourself from things. Be happy and enjoy the things you would do before you became a celebrity. Don’t let your pride get in the way of making the choices for you and it seems like you over rode your pride by going ahead and getting the skirt. Good for you! 🙂
Alright I am going to Walgreens tomorrow to see if my store has any!! I buy inexpensive clothes all the time and I always get compliments!! I bought a Hawaiian dress at Walgreens once for a wedding…$9.99. Don’t be blabbing about Walgreens to everyone…or we will all be dressed alike!!
Love Walgreens!!
K
Jenny, Good for you.. As long as you paid for it, it makes no difference where you bought it. You always look beautiful.. Love your site.Lots of wonderful info. I’m 54 years and just learned last week from you how to cook the perfect boiled egg.lol. My grandson loves them .
Theresa, I want to try the boiled egg Jenny’s way. I have tried the popcorn with my niece this passed week. I’m off work Mondays and Tuesdays and my niece stayed a couple days and wanted to have a movie, popcorn night and we tried Jenny’s popcorn her way and it was pretty good….
P.S.
Jenny, we made it both ways with and without the canola, but it was kinda too dry without the Canola. The Canola helped, so I like it with the Canola. My niece kinda played around with a 3rd bag, she used Canola, Molly Butter and I Cant Believe It’s Not Butter spray. Is any of the things she added to her own bag bad to use?…
I’m not a big fan of artificial sweeteners which is the first ingredient in Molly McButter so of the two, the spray would be a healthier choice.
Thats what I thought but my niece, who is 16, wanted and more butter taste and I told her I dont think it’s as healthy but she did it anyway. To be honest, your way with just a little canola oil isnt bad at all. Thats how I fix mine. I let her do her own. My niece thinks its neat to make popcorn with the brown paper bag and staples. She had fun doing it…
Next on my list to make is the deviled eggs and I know Jenny…”no flat plates”…lol
